Message rate limiting allows you to control how many messages users can send in a given period. This helps prevent abuse and protects your AI agent from overload or spam.
How to Enable Message Rate Limiting
Go to Settings → Message Rate Limits
Toggle the Enable Rate Limiting switch to turn it on.
Time Period Choose the time interval for the message limit. Options include:
Per Hour
Per Day
Per Month
Message Limit
Set the maximum number of messages a user can send during the selected time period.
Cooldown Period (minutes)
Once the user hits the limit, this is how long they’ll have to wait before they can send messages again.
Cooldown Message
This is the message that will be shown to users when they reach the limit.
(Default example: “You have reached the message limit. Please wait before sending more messages.”)
Users can send up to 100 messages per hour.
If the limit is exceeded, messaging will be disabled for 15 minutes.
During this time, users will see the cooldown message you set.
Click Save Configuration to apply your changes.
Click Reset to Defaults if you want to revert to the default system settings.
