"Markdown" refers to a lightweight markup language that allows you to format text on the web easily. It's designed to be easy to read and write, using plain text formatting that can be converted into HTML or other formats by a tool. In the context of writing prompts or instructions, using markdown helps to structure your text more clearly and effectively. It allows for the inclusion of headers, lists, bold and italic text, links, images, and more, without needing to write in HTML directly.
So, when the instructions suggest using markdown to "better structure things," it means that you should format your prompt or text using markdown syntax to make it more organized, readable, and visually appealing. This can be particularly useful when creating prompts or instructions that require clear hierarchy, emphasis on certain parts, or just a general neat presentation to make it easier for the reader to follow along.
